Through consultation with businesses, the Australian Small Business and Family Enterprise Ombudsman found that late payments and adverse payment practices are critical issues for small businesses.
To better understand the impact on small businesses, the Ombudsman is conducting a survey and asking the small business community to provide feedback in order to help gain an understanding of the extent of the problem, and to identify possible solutions to help reverse the growing trend.
The survey is open until the 28th February 2017.
The Australian Small Business and Family Enterprise Ombudsman:
- is a Commonwealth advocate for small businesses and family enterprises
- facilitates dispute resolution to allow businesses to resolve disputes without resorting to costly litigation
- contributes to the development of small business Commonwealth laws and regulations.
